This past weekend, we returned to the New England Air Museum for their Women Take Flight event. This program exposes women to aviation and aerospace, which includes the type of advanced manufacturing that we do for the industry. The event welcomes girls of all ages from Connecticut and Massachusetts and gets them excited about career opportunities.
HORST Engineering has a strong mentoring program for the women on our team and several of them participated in the event. The museum is a great backdrop for Women Take Flight. We welcomed more than 200 children (girls and boys) to our table. Our “craft” was an edible airplane that you had to build. It had a fuselage, wing, and wheels.
If you have never visited the New England Air Museum, then you should add it to your list.
