Team HORST Updates – March 2023
We can’t believe it’s almost mid-March! Here at HORST Engineering, the first couple of months of 2023 have been all about our team. We’ve promoted internally and also ramped up our hiring, filling several key roles in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Information Technology, and Manufacturing.
We’ve also got news regarding the HORST Employee Experience – adding new apps including a health concierge services app and a cool new Recognition & Rewards platform where managers and staff can acknowledge great work by giving out points which can then be redeemed for a plethora of gift cards or cultural rewards. It is like having our very own social media network. Staff can upload photos of family and pets and can also highlight birthdays and work anniversaries. It’s been an awesome motivator!

Celebrating March 8th – International Woman’s Day
Many of our amazing HORST women gathered for the photo-op below. For this year’s Women’s Day, 2023, we interviewed several women for a personal profile as part of our “HERstories” series. We’ll be posting them on our LinkedIn page so be sure to check them out.
We have now grown our female workforce to more than 30%!
EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY – BAGEL BREAKFAST BAR
On March 3rd, our Human Resources and Administration Team hosted a Bagel Breakfast Bar for staff at morning break. Everyone was treated to an amazing breakfast feast.
HEALTH & MEDICAL CONCIERGE SERVICES APP
We’ve implemented a new tool which can be accessed via mobile phone or desktop and serves as a full healthcare/insurance concierge service for our employees. It can be used to find a provider, check prescriptions or track insurance claims – and realizes cost savings for everyone.
We are still recruiting in several areas, including Manufacturing. See our Careers page for details and referrals are welcome. We have spots for intermediate and skilled machinists with Turning, Swiss Screw Machining, and Grinding abilities.
