HORST Engineering is thrilled to announce our induction into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame. Fellow 2024 inductees are Collins Aerospace, OTIS, and Arburg, Inc.
The induction ceremony was hosted at The Jackson Laboratory in Farmington, CT. This year’s theme was “Celebrating Women in Manufacturing.” In addition to the four companies honored, 20 female leaders were celebrated for their contributions to manufacturing. HORST Engineering is proud of our Women Empowerment @ HORST Engineering (WE@HE) program and we have steadily grown the number of women who work in our business.
Chris DiPentima, president and CEO of CBIA, inducted HORST Engineering. Other notable presenters included U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro, U.S. Representative Jahana Hayes, and honorary chair LT. Governor Susan Bysiewicz. Kara Sundlun, News Anchor from WFSB TV 3 was the master of ceremonies.
Scott Livingston, HORST Engineering’s third generation president, said, “We are proud of this honor and dedicate it to past and present members of Team HORST who have made our success possible.”
Scott Livingston was joined in accepting the award by second generation members of the Livingston Family: Stanley Livingston, Steven Livingston, and Lynn Livingston. They were accompanied at the ceremony by other members of Team HORST who represented the the current employees who are continuing our company’s success.
Connecticut is known for its advanced manufacturing strength across a wide range of industries. Since 2014, the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame has inducted more than 30 members including small and large companies that have made their mark on industry.

About the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame
The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame is a committee of passionate volunteers who have come together as advocates for manufacturing and manufacturing training opportunities. The American Manufacturing Hall of Fame exists under the auspices of Tunxis Community College Foundation and partners with the College of Technology. First started in 2014 at Housatonic Community College, it has celebrated manufacturers from Connecticut.
