Sterling Machine is the recipient of a $74,300 grant to help train 32 employees and create job opportunities for three additional hires over the next two years.
Our company will match the balance of the nearly $150,000 project to train our work force in additional lean manufacturing techniques leading to ongoing, continuous improvement. The improved production methods are expected to boost our ability to compete.
The project is funded through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The grant program is administered by the Commonwealth Corporation.
