Horst Engineering has sent employee representatives to several recent manufacturing trade shows. Last month, the inaugural MFG4 event was held in Hartford, Connecticut. The show featured a lot of new precision machining technology.
This week, Horst Engineering supplier, Methods Machine Tools Inc., held their Metal Storm open house at their Sudbury, Massachusetts headquarters. New manufacturing technology creates excitement in the employee ranks and it was great to visit the Methods showroom and see some of the latest in precision machining (turning and milling) technology. Methods invited many of their partners and some best in class software, tooling, and accessories suppliers to pitch in.
The manufacturing sector has been a bright spot for the global economy, particularly in the two regions that Horst Engineering has operations. With factories in East Hartford, Connecticut, and Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico; our businesses, Horst Engineering, Horst Engineering de Mexico, and Thread Rolling Inc., are good examples of how many North American manufacturers have migrated towards higher precision products.
For our companies, it has been a 66 year journey that continues. We have produced high precision products for generations. The high technology equipment and tooling that we invest in is a key factor in our ability to meet our customers’ needs. Seeing the new technology at Metal Storm and MFG4 is an example of how we stay on the cutting edge.
