This past Thursday, Horst Engineering and Thread Rolling Inc. participated in the annual Aerospace Components Manufacturers (ACM) Workforce Opportunities Fair and Trade Show at the Marriot Hotel in Windsor, Connecticut.
In the morning, more than 800 middle and high school students visited the show, where many of ACM’s 100 members displayed their products. The ACM is a robust organization that has many of Connecticut’s leading precision machining and manufacturing companies as members.
The ACM website describes our organization as, “…a non-profit regional network of independent Connecticut and southwestern Massachusetts based aerospace companies. Our mission is to attract the global aerospace industry to this, The World’s Aerospace Alley, where ACM member firms form a unique industrial cooperative of long-established aerospace manufacturers, processors and suppliers, offering a cost-effective supply chain that exceeds customer expectations. Working together as a network, member companies collectively offer broader capabilities than they could as individuals. TOGETHER, a WORLD OF EXPERTISE!”
The afternoon session was a business-to-business trade show with the ACM companies and many of our customers. Once again, the trade show was a rounding success. Look for it to expand in 2016 with a new and larger venue at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
