We have had a fantastic start to the cyclocross season. Racing in North America and Europe is in full swing. We had a different off-season than normal because the growing Australian cyclocross community was racing throughout our spring and summer. Our Australian dealer, Cyclocross Minded Australia stoked the excitement down under.
In New England, where cyclocross has never been more popular, the post-2017 USA National Cyclocross Championships buzz never wore off. Having the event in our “backyard” was great for Horst Engineering and Cross Spikes™.
The UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup kicked off last week at Jinglecross in Iowa, and continued with the Trek CX Cup in Wisconsin. Both races were very successful and our Cross Spikes™ were on the podium at both events. It is extra special to highlight the successes of our female ambassadors. Kaitlin Keough (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) was second in both Iowa and Wisconsin. Ellen Noble (Aspire Racing) scored her first World Cup podium with a third in Wisconsin. Ellen was also third at CrossVegas. Caroline Mani was fifth in Wisconsin and fourth at CrossVegas. Emma White (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) was first U23 rider at both World Cup races. In the Trek CX Cup C2 race, Katie Compton took the victory.
We have our best line-up of ambassadors ever.
We are making progress with sales in the United Kingdom and Europe. The partnership of Kris Auer and Stefan Wyman, two well-known names in the global cyclocross community, are representing us as principle dealers.
In July, when the last of our Cross Spikes™ patents arrived, we hit another milestone. We are proud to be part of a growing and healthy sport and excited about the season ahead. Thank you to our customers, who value what we do.
The first Cross Spikes News™ of this young season launched last week. Check it out.
