Businessperson of the Year

Scott Livingston, Horst Engineering’s President and CEO, was honored by the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce as its 2017 Businessperson of the Year.

Livingston said, “I’m honored to be presented with this award, thank the nominating committee, and our fellow members of the Chamber.”

An award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Chamber’s 2018 Annual Meeting on 17 January at the Glastonbury Community Center.

The CRVCC was formed in 2016 when the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce merged with the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce. Horst Engineering has been a longtime member of the CRVCC and prior to the merger, the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce. Livingston served on the East Hartford Chamber board from 2002-2004.

Livingston said, “I’m honored to be presented with this award, thank the nominating committee, and our fellow members of the Chamber.”

Livingston said, “Horst Engineering is celebrating its 72nd year in business. This award is testament to the hard work of my grandfather, my parents, my uncle, and all of our colleagues. I was proud to celebrate this award with my family and members of Team Horst.”

Horst Engineering employees 105 people at its two Connecticut plant sites, and 35 employees at its Sterling Machine operation in Lynn, Massachusetts.
