Horst Engineering is an award winning family business. In 1999, the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce nominated the company for the Connecticut Family Business of the Year award. Horst Engineering went on to win the award as the top medium sized family business in Connecticut. Each year, the University of Connecticut School Family Business Program honors another group of businesses.

In 2010, the UCONN program celebrated its 15th anniversary. To commemorate the achievement, a special book was published. It recounts the founding of the program, highlights the importance of family owned/managed enterprises,and profiles many of the great Connecticut family businesses that have been honored with this prestigious award.
Our company was proud to be profiled on pages 54 and 55. We are thrilled to be associated with so many other great enterprises.
